Solar Post-Design Services
Turn an approved concept into a buildable package — layout drawings, structural calculations, and CEIG documentation your crews and inspectors can work from.
Delivered by Heaven Designs, SurgePV's trusted solar design partner
What Is Solar Post-Design?
Post-design is the detailed engineering stage that begins once the preliminary design has been signed off. Where pre-design answers whether a system works, post-design specifies exactly how it gets built.
The package covers the drawings and calculations a project needs to move into execution: CAD layouts for panel placement and wiring, structural analysis of the mounting system and foundations, CEIG electrical documentation, and the as-built set used for permits and handover.
Structural and electrical scopes can be delivered together or separately, depending on what your EPC team already has covered. If site conditions change or you come back with feedback, the drawings are revised within the agreed project scope.
What's Included
Detailed Layout Drawings
Complete CAD drawing set covering panel placement and wiring across the array.
Structural Calculations
Foundation, mounting structure and load analysis for the system as designed.
CEIG Electrical Drawings
Single-line, three-line and schematic diagrams prepared for electrical review.
As-Built Documentation
The final documentation package used for permits and project handover.
Coordinated Scopes
Structural and electrical packages can be delivered together, scoped around what your team already covers.
Scoped Revisions
Drawings updated when site data changes or feedback comes back, within the agreed scope.
Built for Teams Moving Projects Into Construction
EPC Companies
Add engineering throughput without adding permanent drafting headcount.
Solar Contractors
Hand crews a drawing set that resolves wiring and mounting before anyone is on the roof.
Engineering Firms
Offload production drafting so your engineers stay on review and sign-off.
Commercial Solar Companies
Take C&I projects from approved concept to execution documents on a predictable path.
How It Works
Submit Project
Send the approved concept design and the scope you need engineered.
Share Project Information
Provide site data, equipment selections and any structural or electrical constraints.
Design and Engineering
Layout drawings, structural calculations and electrical documentation are produced.
Review and Revisions
Your engineers review the package and changes are made within scope.
Final Delivery
The construction package and as-built documentation set are issued.
What You Need to Send
- Approved preliminary or concept design
- Equipment selections and datasheets
- Site data and structural constraints
- The scope you want covered: structural, electrical, or both

Frequently Asked Questions
How is post-design different from pre-design?
Pre-design is for visualisation and early yield estimates. Post-design produces buildable packages with deeper engineering detail — the drawings and calculations a project needs to be constructed.
Do you coordinate structural and electrical together?
Yes. Both can sit in a single package, scoped around what your EPC team already handles internally.
What project sizes are supported?
Residential and C&I work through to larger commercial, industrial rooftop and ground-mount scopes.
Can drawings be revised after site changes?
Yes. Updates driven by new site data or client feedback are handled within the agreed project scope.
Do I need to have done pre-design with you first?
No. Post-design can start from a concept your own team produced, including designs built in SurgePV.
