What Is Ground Mount Design?
Ground-mount design takes a land parcel and turns it into a buildable solar plant layout. The array is arranged against the terrain rather than a flat plan, so row spacing, grading and access are resolved together instead of being fixed one at a time.
Four scopes make up the package: the array layout and inter-row spacing, the structural design of racking and foundations, the civil work covering grading, drainage and foundation engineering, and the DC and AC electrical layout with string sizing and single-line diagrams.
Layouts are built to balance energy performance, constructability and O&M access — ground coverage ratio and yield are optimised against how the site will actually be built and maintained, not just against a simulation.
